KNOWLEDGE (RECALLING)

Describe the types of climate that you know or have experienced.

UNDESTANDING

Write a brief description of al least 3 of them, an tell why or why  you do not like them.

APPLYING

Ask three of your classmates about their preferred climates.

ANALYSING

With all the information you got, select the most and the less preferred climate.

EVALUATING

In front of the class each student will say and explain the whys of their likes and dislikes about weather.

CREATING

Write a short story about your best experience with your favorite weather.

HOW BLOOM´S TAXONOMY COULD HELP ME AS A TEACHER

It can help me to recognize the mental and emotional condition of each one of my students to be able to help them in their learning process in a personal way.

I think Bloom´s taxonomy is updated because it is based in principles that have always applied not only in his time. Even it is not in the tkt book we should be always be in continuos learning.

BLOOM´S TAXONOMY

reading about Bloom´s taxonomy, I undestand that learning is a process, and that the three domains of learning are right, I agree with them. Cognitive (mental skills), Affective (growth in feeling or emotional areas) and Psychomotor (manual or physical skill). In my opinion, mental skills are the most important because they are the base in order that it blooms the knowledge, that always begins for being a seed.

In other words «The condition of the mind of the person». Learning always starts by being a mental process. «The torn mind of the person does not retain anything of what he learns», it was written thousands of years ago, and it is a great truth.

THE FOUR SKILLS, NOW I UNDESTAND….

Now, after 5 classes I have undestood a lot of things about learning/teaching in general. I do not want to speak english only, but to know the English language, that is not the same. The four skills are very important for us. I remember that I did not like some activities in the new american books, for example the writing activities, and some listening activities. I think that it would be useful at the beginning of the course to explain the students all the resources that they can use to improve their learning. For example the Cd that comes in each book, in 9th semester it was very useful for me to answer all the activities before the exams, even some activities came in the written exam.
